Afro singer and songwriter Owodunni Ibrahim popularly known as Prime Boy, has turned himself in to the police after he was declared wanted in connection with the death of his childhood friend, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
PulseNets recalls that Mohbad, a former signee of Naira Marley’s record label, died at the age of 27 in Lagos on September 12th.
On Wednesday, the Lagos State Police Command declared Primeboy wanted following his failure to honour a police invitation. However, on Thursday, barely 24 hours after he was declared wanted, the police confirmed that Primeboy had turned himself in.
In an exclusive interview with TVC News just before he turned himself in, Primeboy denied all the allegations against him, saying that he had nothing to do with Mohbad’s death. He said that he was shocked and saddened by his friend’s death and that he could never do anything to harm him.
Primeboy also frowned at Mohbad’s wife for accusing him of having a hand in his death. He said that the wife should be questioned over Mohbad’s death.
