BREAKING: Tinubu Receives Ogbia Kingdom Rulers, Praises NDDC MD Samuel Ogbuku
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday received traditional rulers from the Ogbia Kingdom at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, as part of his ongoing consultations with traditional institutions across Nigeria.
During the meeting, the President openly praised the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, describing him as a transformative, committed, and highly focused leader.
“Your son, the MD of NDDC, Dr. Ogbuku, is a transformative, committed, and highly focused Managing Director,” President Tinubu told the Ogbia monarchs.
The President acknowledged the critical role the Niger Delta region has played in Nigeria’s development, noting that years of neglect must be confronted and corrected.
“The Niger Delta has contributed immensely to the development of this country through resources and personnel. We can’t excuse the neglect of the past,” he said.

President Tinubu also reassured Nigerians that recent economic reforms are beginning to yield results, stressing that his administration is committed to ensuring that the benefits reach ordinary citizens.
“The economy has turned a corner for good, and it is left for us to ensure that the ordinary people at the bottom of the ladder feel the benefit of this economic turn, and we are working on that,” he added.
