PulseNets reports that his release was confirmed by Yoruba Nation Leader Prof. Banji Akintoye in a statement.
Igboho was arrested in Benin Republic in July 2021 while on his way to Germany. He had fled Nigeria after a raid on his residence by the Department of State Services (DSS), which accused him of stockpiling arms.
The DSS had raided his Soka residence in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, accusing him of stockpiling arms.
