President Muhammadu Buhari will, on Sunday, make a “farewell broadcast as President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces on Sunday, May 28, at 7 a.m.”, his office said.
“Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast,” Femi Adesina, Mr Buhari’s spokesperson said in a Saturday statement.
Mr Buhari will on Monday hand over to President-elect Bola Tinubu. Both men are members of the same party, APC.
Mr Tinubu won the February presidential election, defeating 17 other presidential candidates.

However, his victory is still being challenged in court by Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
