CAF Women Champions League: Bayelsa Queens battle seven other teams for $400,000 prize money

Bayelsa Queens, Nigeria’s champions, would walk away with a whopping $400,000 if they win the CAF Women’s Champions League for the second time.

On Wednesday, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) unveiled the prize money structure for the annual competition.

The prize money for the runners-up is $250,000.

Each of the two losing semi-finalists will get $200,000.

Bayelsa Queens, making their debut in the competition, are in Group B with South African defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns, Congo Democratic Republic’s TP Mazembe, and Egypt’s Wadi Degla.

On October 31, the Restoration Girls will kick off their campaign against Mamelodi Sundowns at the Stade Grande de Marrakech.

On November 3 in Marrakech, they will play TP Mazembe in their second group encounter.

On November 6, Bayelsa Queens will play Wadi Degla in their last group match at the Stade Prince Heritier in Rabat.

On October 30, 2022, the tournament will begin, with the final planned for November 13 of that same year.
