Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, a former governor of Gombe State, has donated 20 buses to the PDP’s Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign.
When Atiku visited Gombe for the PDP presidential campaign rally in the state, he made the announcement about the donation.
When Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, ran for president of the PDP but was defeated by Atiku, the former governor was a political ally and a fervent supporter of Wike.
According to experts, Dankwambo’s donation of the automobiles demonstrated his interest in the Atiku campaign.
Dankwambo made a commitment to help Atiku win the 2023 presidential election while addressing at the Gombe Township Stadium, the PDP’s campaign headquarters.
He referred to Atiku as “Nigeria’s next president.”
According to our correspondent, Sen. Dankwambo is running for the Gombe-North seat, which he lost to APC incumbent Sen. Saidu Ahmed Alkali in 2019.
