David Alagoa, Marie Ebikake, others Attend Nembe Ibe USA Health Mission Outreach

In a significant event aimed at improving healthcare in Nembe, the Executive Chairman of Nembe Local Government Area (LGA), Hon. David Alagoa, attended the Nembe Ibe USA Health Mission Outreach, expressing his satisfaction with the quality of health professionals who volunteered their services.

Hon. Alagoa commended the professionals for their sacrifice and encouraged them to continue giving back to their community, emphasizing that the development of Nembe SE is a collective and collaborative effort from every son and daughter of Nembe SE.

During the event, Hon. Alagoa announced plans to engage all sons and daughters of Nembe extraction in the diaspora. He highlighted his efforts to connect with Nembe natives in the UK and Australia and expressed his intentions to reach out to those in America and Canada. As part of his administration’s key agenda, he revealed plans to establish a Diaspora Committee to strengthen these connections.

Hon. Alagoa concluded his participation by touring the health facility, observing the medical professionals in action, and receiving cheers from onlooking participants.

The member representing Brass-Nembe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Marie Ebikake, and Nembe State House of Assembly representative, Hon. Barr. George Braah-Oteigbanyo, attended the official flag-off of the Nembe Ibe USA medical outreach at Nembe General Hospital, Nembe City. Alongside other notable top functionaries, they urged residents to utilize the opportunity for medical check-ups.

Professor Kingsley Alagoa, the coordinator of the programme, stated that this third edition of the Medical Outreach organized by Nembe Ibe USA has significantly contributed to increasing the life expectancy of beneficiaries in the Nembe region.

Hon. George Braah commended Nembe Ibe USA for their commendable and capital-intensive medical outreach program and apologized for the absence of Hon. Marie Ebikake, who was on oversight functions. He also advised the people of Nembe LGA to take full advantage of this crucial opportunity for medical check-ups.
