Nigeria’s highly-regarded heavyweight, Efe Ajagba, successfully defended his WBC Silver Heavyweight Title with a fourth-round TKO victory over Australian boxer Joe Goodall, improving his impressive record to 19 wins and 1 loss, with 14 knockouts.
In his second headline event of 2023, held at the recently inaugurated Tahoe Blue Event Centre in Lake Tahoe, Efe notched his third consecutive victory this year, cementing his status as a prominent contender in the heavyweight division.
Joe Goodall, who had previously bested Ajagba in their amateur encounters, entered the match with confidence. Nonetheless, Efe established control with his early jab and consistently landed powerful blows throughout the contest.

Goodall displayed remarkable durability, and the referee, Tony Weeks, might have halted the fight prematurely to protect him from further damage.
Presently ranked 7th by the WBC, Ajagba is determined to ascend the rankings and vie for a title shot against WBC champion Tyson Fury.
