Federal University of Agriculture, Bassambiri Disowns Fake Recruitment Advert
The Management of the Federal University of Agriculture, Bassambiri (FUAB) has issued a strong disclaimer over a circulating recruitment advertisement falsely attributed to the institution.
In a statement signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Dr. Agatha O. Ataga, the University dissociated itself from the said advert, describing it as unofficial and misleading.
“The Management of the Federal University of Agriculture, Bassambiri, Bayelsa State, is aware of a supposed recruitment advert purportedly signed by the Registrar. Management wishes to dissociate itself from the said advert as it is unofficial. The general public is therefore advised to disregard the advert as it did not emanate from the University,” the statement read.
Dr. Ataga further cautioned members of the public to be wary of fraudulent online job announcements, stressing that all authentic information regarding recruitment or employment opportunities at FUAB would be published only through the University’s official communication channels.
She reaffirmed that no ongoing recruitment exercise has been approved or authorized by the University Council or Management, warning that anyone who engages with such fraudulent schemes does so at their own risk.
The institution assured the public of its commitment to transparency, accountability, and adherence to due process in all official activities.
