Yenagoa — A devastating incident has occurred in Amassoma, Bayelsa State, where a final year student of the Niger Delta University (NDU), Francis, was brutally killed by some youths in the area. The senseless murder took place at the Amassoma sand dump, a popular spot where students often go to relax and socialize.
According to eyewitnesses, the perpetrators demanded 150 Naira from Francis, and when he refused, they attacked and killed him. The motive behind the killing is still unclear, but the sheer brutality of the act has sent shockwaves through the community.
Francis, a native of Obrigbene in Ekeremor Local Government Area, was a promising young man with a bright future ahead of him. His senseless murder has left his family, friends, and the entire university community in mourning.
