Fubara reshuffles cabinet amid Rivers political crisis

Another Rivers local council chairperson appoints over 300 aides

As the political crisis rocking Rivers State takes a new turn, Governor Simnalayi Fubara, has made some changes within his cabinet.

In a statement by the secretary to the Rivers State Government, Tammy Danagogo on Tuesday night, the Governor noted that the changes take immediate effect.

Those affected include the commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General of the state, Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor who has now been redeployed to the Ministry of Special Duties (Governor’s Office).

Fubara also transferred the commissioner for Finance, Isaac Kamalu, to the Ministry of Employment Generation and Economic Empowerment.

The governor asked them to immediately hand over to their respective permanent secretaries.

He said: “They are to hand over to their respective permanent secretaries immediately as this deployment takes immediate effect. All had over processes must be completed immediately”.

PulseNets reports that the Governor fell out with his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, over the political leadership of Rivers State.
