G5 governors threaten to fight the PDP Presidential council

Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, has warned to retaliate against the PDP presidential candidate council on behalf of the G5 governors if any council member insults the governors.

The governor issued the threat on Monday during the official start of a new road project in Rivers State’s Eleme Local Government area.

Wike claimed that his group will no longer put up with any insults from PDP presidential campaign members, adding that they are not opposed to maintaining peace inside the party.

Wike said ” what I want to tell the Presidential candidate of the PDP is; we mean peace, we want all of us to be together for the party to win the election.

“But let me say clearly if any you boys continue to attack the G5 and leaders of our party, we will strike back.

“If anybody again dares in the PDP presidential council to insult the PDP governors in G5 and the integrity group we will strike back. Enough is enough.

“All we want is equity fairness and justice. Nobody should take us for granted”.

The governor expressed concern that certain PDP members who just left the APC will criticise the PDP governors.
