Godswill Akpabio Elected Senate President

Senator Godswill Akpabio has been elected Senate President of the 10th National Assembly.

PulseNets reports that Akpabio defeated is only rival, Abdulaziz Yari to the position on Tuesday morning.

Akpabio wad nominated by Senator Ali Ndume while Yari was nominated by Senator Elisha Abbo.

The inauguration of the 10th Senate and the 10th House of Representatives took place simultaneously within the hallowed halls of the Red and Green Chambers.
