PDP Invites Jonathan to Contest in 2027 Presidential Election

Madam Obebhatein Jonathan, the elder sister of former President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, has passed away at seventy.

She succumbed to death after a brief illness on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the Federal Medical Centre in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

Affectionately known as Amissi, Madam Obebhatein was a retired teacher and businesswoman and a loving mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to serving God and humanity.

A devout Christian, she leaves a legacy of virtue and is remembered as a role model by many within and beyond her community.

The family has announced that the burial is scheduled for Tuesday,
February 16, 2024. The family will communicate details of the funeral rites at a later date.

Madam Obebhatein  is survived by three children, siblings, including former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, and her mother, Mama Eunice Afeni-Jonathan.
