Israeli-American Hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin Confirmed Dead; Five Other Israeli Victims Found Killed by Hamas in Rafah Tunnels
Israeli-American hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin has been confirmed dead, as announced by his family early on Sunday. PulseNets reported that five additional Israeli victims were also discovered on Saturday.
According to the IDF, the six hostages were executed by their captors shortly before the Israeli Defense Forces arrived on the scene. Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, IDF Spokesperson, told PulseNets, “A few hours ago, we informed the families that the bodies of their loved ones had been located by IDF troops in an underground tunnel in Rafah.”
He further stated, “According to our initial assessment, they were brutally murdered by Hamas terrorists shortly before we reached them.”

Goldberg-Polin, aged 23, was abducted during attack on October 7 at a music festival in southern Israel. He had previously suffered a severe injury, losing part of his left arm to a grenade. His remains, along with those of the other hostages, were recovered from the tunnels beneath Rafah after being killed by Hamas.
