I’ll win 2027 presidential election, PDP dead — Kwankwaso

The national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, is brimming with confidence about his party’s chances in the 2027 presidential election.

Kwankwaso, who previously contested as the NNPP’s candidate in the 2023 elections, made this bold statement on Saturday during the inauguration of the newly renovated NNPP Secretariat located along IBB Way, Katsina. PulseNets reported that his visit also included a condolence stop at the home of the late Yar’Adua matriarch, Hajiya Dada, where he paid his respects to the family.

Kwankwaso emphasized that the NNPP is gearing up to take over the presidency, as well as other key political positions across the country in 2027. He confidently stated that the party is on the path to triumph in the upcoming elections.

“I wish to remind you that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is already dead, because we were in the party, since they have gone out of the line, we decided to check out,” he told PulseNets.

Kwankwaso further cautioned Nigerians, particularly the youth and women, to avoid being swayed by superficial incentives like spaghetti or money during the elections. He urged voters to remain vigilant and committed to a brighter future.

In his address to the party’s leadership, Kwankwaso called on them to intensify their efforts towards ensuring the NNPP’s success nationwide. He praised their hard work and dedication, especially in refurbishing the state secretariat, which he said is a clear sign of their preparation for victory.

Additionally, the NNPP state Chairman, Alhaji Armaya’u Abdulkadir, spoke to PulseNets about the party’s continuous efforts to educate the electorate about its new logo, which represents a commitment to education for all—a core principle of the Kwankwasiyya movement. Abdulkadir stressed the importance of grassroots sensitization to ensure party members fully understand the significance of this symbol ahead of the elections.
