A great evening for rapper Killer Mike took an unexpected turn when he was apprehended by law enforcement shortly after winning three awards at the 66th Grammy Awards.
According to Chris Gardner, a senior staff writer for the Hollywood Reporter, the incident happened during the non-televised portion of the ceremony held at the Crypto.com Arena. In a video shared on social media, Gardner captured the rapper being escorted away in handcuffs.
“Breaking: Rapper Killer Mike has been taken away in handcuffs in Crypto.com arena after winning 3 #Grammys during telecast,” Gardener wrote on X.
Prior to the arrest, Killer Mike had enjoyed a great evening, garnering three prestigious awards: Best Rap Song for “Scientists & Engineers” featuring Andre 3000, Future, and Eryn Allen Kane, Best Rap Performance for the same song, and Best Rap Album for his critically acclaimed project “Michael.”
