King Charles Strips His Brother, Prince Andrew of Royal Titles Over Epstein Scandal
The United Kingdom’s Royal Family has begun the process of formally stripping Prince Andrew of his remaining official titles and honours following his controversial ties to the late convicted sex offender and financier, Jeffrey Epstein.
According to information obtained by PulseNets, King Charles III has “initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles, and Honours of Prince Andrew.” The development was confirmed in a statement released by Buckingham Palace on Thursday.
“Going forward, he will be known simply as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor,” the Palace noted, adding that “his lease on the Royal Lodge—previously offering him legal protection to continue in residence—has also been reviewed.”
This major move comes nearly two weeks after Prince Andrew reportedly agreed to relinquish his royal titles and privileges, including the title of Duke of York, following a private discussion with the King. Palace insiders told PulseNets that the monarch’s decision was part of an ongoing effort to uphold the integrity and moral standing of the Royal Household amid the lingering scandal surrounding Andrew’s past association with Epstein.
In 2022, PulseNets learnt that Prince Andrew paid more than $12 million to settle a civil lawsuit brought against him in the United States by a woman who accused the royal of sexual assault when she was 17. The alleged incidents reportedly occurred on Epstein’s private island—a location notorious for the late financier’s network of abuse and trafficking.
A senior royal aide spoke to PulseNets, confirming that “a formal notice has now been issued to the Duke, requesting that he vacate the taxpayer-funded Royal Lodge and relocate to a private residence.” The aide added that while the Palace recognizes the sensitivity of the situation, “the King believes it is essential to ensure accountability and transparency within the monarchy.”

Buckingham Palace further emphasized the Royal Family’s ongoing solidarity with survivors of sexual abuse.
“Their Majesties wish to reaffirm that their deepest sympathies remain with the victims and survivors of all forms of exploitation and abuse,” the Palace’s statement concluded.
