King Sunny Ade, a legendary singer and songwriter from Nigeria also known as Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adeyeye, has finally consented to meet with Elizabeth Ayeni, his purported 52-year-old daughter.
Recall that Elizabeth Ayeni declared the music legend to be her biological father back in June.
The 52-year-old woman stated that all of her attempts to contact the artist had failed after she was told by her mother that he was her biological father.
She had stated that his silence in response to her request had prompted her to contact the Human Rights Commission, who had also assisted in writing Sunny Ade twice without receiving a reply.
But according to a recent development, the renowned singer has finally consented to a private meeting with Elizabeth Ayeni.
The meeting would be scheduled with Ayeni when he had some spare time, according to his attorney Donald Ajibola, who spoke with an online newspaper on Monday.
“I spoke with Ayeni a few days ago and told her that I had spoken with Sunny Ade and he had agreed to meet her,” Ajibola stated.
Ayeni confirmed the meeting and that she will perform a DNA test to establish her father’s identity.
