Lobbyists Stranded in Lagos as President Tinubu Relocates From Bourdillon

Yesterday, June 28, politicians and All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains gathered at President Bola Tinubu‘s residence in Bourdillon, Ikoyi, to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir and discuss political appointments. However, their expectations were dashed as the President had relocated to his newly refurbished ‘White House’ at No. 4, Queens Drive in Ikoyi.

PulseNets learnt, even though President Tinubu had moved, some members of his family and personal aides were present at Bourdillon to receive party members and entertain Lagosians who came to celebrate. However, many politicians who attempted to see him at his new residence on Queens Drive were turned away by security agencies.

Sources revealed that President Tinubu had canceled several appointments to address pressing national matters and required some rest following his recent trips to France and the United Kingdom.

People suspected to be politicians arrived in their luxury vehicles with tinted windows but were denied access. Even clergymen dressed in cassocks and reporters, including a Television Continental (TVC) news crew, were not granted entry into the President’s White House.

One of the guests, who was denied entrance, mentioned that he had come from the mainland to present a gift to the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu. He expressed understanding regarding the heavy security measures in place at the President’s residence and mentioned his intention to take the gift back.

Meanwhile, in Lagos, the President’s close advisers were still deliberating on the composition of Tinubu’s cabinet, specifically discussing the ratio of professionals to politicians who would serve in key positions.
