Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has officially conferred the instrument of office and staff of office upon the newly appointed Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Olaoye.
During the presentation, Governor Makinde handed over the Staff of Office to Oba Ghandi Olaoye, also known as Orumogege III at a ceremonial event at the Ogbomoso Township Stadium.
In his acceptance speech, Oba Olaoye expressed his commitment to a well-defined vision to foster prosperity and peace within Ogbomosoland.
He also articulated a comprehensive 25-year plan that he intends to unveil in the coming months.
Drawing from his extensive experience in business and pastoral leadership spanning over three decades, Oba Olaoye pledged to apply his acquired skills and relationships to lead the community.
Transitioning from his previous role as a church pastor to assuming the mantle of a community leader, Oba Olaoye emphasized his dedication to shepherding the people towards progress and development. He urged all contestants and stakeholders to collaborate to propel the town forward.

The event witnessed the presence of distinguished personalities, including the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja III, Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Olubadan of Ibadanland Oba Lekan Balogun, former Minister of Information Lai Muhammed, and several other eminent figures who graced the occasion with their esteemed presence.
