Man United to sign Al-Nassr Cameroon striker to replace Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United are likely to launch a deal for Cameroon striker Vincent Aboubakar as a substitute for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Abubakar are presently colleagues at Al Nassr, where the 37-year-old Portuguese goal machine signed last week.

Manchester United terminated Ronaldo’s contract late last year after the Portugal superstar talked negatively about the manager, club hierarchy, owners, and former teammates in an interview with Piers Morgan.

His departure has left the Red Devils without a striker, with just Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial in the team.

With the January transfer market being open, Ten Hag’s team is trying to boost their offence and is considering many alternatives.

Al-Cameroonian Nassr’s attacker Aboubakar has emerged as a United prospect with Barcelona’s Memphis Depay.

The Arabian club signed Ronaldo to a €200 million-per-year contract and expects him to start immediately.

Aboubakar might potentially be designated as surplus to requirements and sent away during the winter transfer window.

United may recruit the quick 30-year-old attacker to help cover a vacuum in their assault.
