Simi, D’banj, and Obi Asika would return to serve as judges on the well-known reality TV singing competition, Nigerian Idol, Season Eight series, together with host IK Osakioduwa.
MultiChoice Nigeria made the announcement about the judges’ return on Tuesday in Lagos.
Simi and D’banj are returning for a second time, and TV personality IK Osakioduwa will be hosting the show for a third time alongside Obi Asika, who will also be judging for his third season, following the success of the previous edition that saw Progress Chukwuyem win 100 million naira worth of gifts.
On April 23, the eighth season will make its debut, with recordings of the auditions coming first. Fans anticipate being blown away by performances from upcoming superstars.
From May 23 to May 21, the auditions and theater week will be broadcast. The live performances will start on May 28 and go through July 16.
