On Friday, Ibrahim Gusau, president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), will formally introduce the Interim Management Committee (IMC).
The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. in the NFF Conference Room of the Secretariat in Abuja.
After the League Management Company (LMC) was ruled illegal by Nigeria’s sports ministry, the IMC was given the task of managing the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The IMC’s membership complied with President Muhammadu Buhari’s 10-year football master plan.
The domestic league’s rebirth is its primary goal.
Gbenga Elegbeleye, a former director general of the ministry of sports, will preside over the IMC as chairman, with Olumide Bamiduro serving as secretary.
Last year, Rivers United and Plateau United finished first and second, respectively, in the NPFL.
