The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, over the weekend visited Nsukka in Enugu State, where he donated a substantial sum of N20 million to the Faith Foundation Mission Hospital.

The donation, presented through the Anglican Bishop of Nsukka, Rt Rev. Aloysius Agbo, is intended to support the commencement of the construction of a College of Nursing Sciences at the Faith Foundation Mission Hospital, Nsukka.

Recognizing the pivotal role healthcare workers play in primary healthcare delivery, Peter Obi emphasized the need to prioritize training healthcare professionals, especially in the current context of a global shortage of these essential workers.

In expressing gratitude, Peter Obi commended the bold initiative the Bishop and the entire team at Faith Foundation Hospital took to establish a College of Nursing Sciences.

He pledged to continue supporting projects that contribute to national development and benefit Nigerians, envisioning the realization of a New Nigeria built on dreams of progress and prosperity.
