The Taliban administration has sworn that Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, will one day testify before the International Court about the deaths of 25 Afghan troops.
Prince Harry said in his autobiography, Spare, that as an Apache chopper pilot during the conflict, he killed Afghan militants.
He described how, on his second deployment in Afghanistan, he flew six missions and killed 25 Taliban.
In response to the information, the police spokesperson for the Taliban, Khalid Zadran, stated that just as Harry would always be remembered in Helmand, Afghans will never forget the massacre of their innocent people.
According to Zadran, criminals like Harry who boldly admit their crimes will be brought before the entire community and the perpetrators of such crimes will one day stand trial before an international court, according to The Telegraph.
The Prince’s description of those he had killed as “chess pieces” and his assertion that he was “neither ashamed nor proud” of his deeds were “cruel, barbaric,” according to the Taliban’s police spokesman, and such statements had legitimised the Taliban’s deadly insurgency against NATO troops in Afghanistan.
“The cruel and barbaric actions of Harry and others aroused the Afghan population and led to an armed uprising against them. We call this kind of uprising holy jihad,” he stated.
