Rema and Selena Gomez’s collaboration, ‘Calm Down,’ has claimed the coveted title of the No. 1 Afrobeats Song of All Time, according to Spotify, the global streaming giant.
Spotify recently unveiled its compilation of the Top 10 Afrobeats songs of all time, ranking them based on the number of streams they garnered on the platform.
Leading the pack is Rema’s remix of ‘Calm Down’ featuring the renowned American superstar Selena Gomez, followed closely by CKay’s infectious hit ‘Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah),’ securing the second spot on the list.
Securing the third position is CKay’s ‘Love Nwantiti’ remix, featuring DJ Yo! and AX’EL, while British rapper Dave’s collaboration with Burna Boy on ‘Location’ claims the fourth spot. Rema’s original version of ‘Calm Down’ rounds up the top 5.
Wizkid’s soulful track ‘Essence,’ featuring Tems, takes the sixth position, while Cameroonian star Libianca’s powerful anthem ‘People’ secures the seventh spot. Burna Boy’s ‘Last Last,’ Fireboy and Ed Sheeran’s ‘Peru,’ and Wizkid’s remix of ‘Essence’ featuring Justin Bieber and Tems claim the eighth, ninth, and tenth spots, respectively.
Notably absent from the list are notable artists such as Davido, Tiwa Savage, Kizz Daniel, and Olamide.
