Rivers State University bans indecent dressing on campus

Port Harcourt — Rivers State Unversity (RSU) has banned all forms of indecent dressing by students on campus including;

  • Wearing of “spaghetti gown” by female students.
  • Wearing of short skirt above the knees by female students.
  • Colouring of hair by both male and female students.
  • Sagging of trousers by both male and female students
  • Wearing of earrings by male students and nose rings by female students.
  • Wearing of tattoos by both male and female students.
  • Wearing of ankle chain by female students.
  • Wearing of long eyelashes by female students.
  • Wearing of gown/blouse that exposes the navel or breast by female students.
  • Wearing of tattered jean trousers by both male and female students
  • Wearing of bathroom slippers or bumshot to the classroom.

PulseNets learnt the decision was taken at the extraordinary senate meeting as communicated by the Registrar of the school, Dr S. C Enyindah who also happens to bet the secretary to the Senate, in the memo which partly reads “I am directed to inform you that Senate has banned indecent dressing by students on campus with immediate effect.”
