Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, has asked Russians to object to the country’s announced partial military mobilization.
“Protest! Fight! Run away! Or become Ukrainian prisoners of war! Those are the options for your survival,” Zelensky said in his daily video address yesterday.
55,000 Russian soldiers have already killed in Ukraine, according to Zelensky.
Additionally, he spoke to the wives and mothers of Russian men drafted into service:
“Do not doubt this, the children of your country’s leaders will not take part in the war against Ukraine.”
“Those making decisions in your country protect their children. And your children aren’t even buried,” he said.
The mobilization of 300,000 reservists was ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier this week in an effort to increase the number of soldiers available for the military’s sputtering assault in Ukraine.
Speaking to Ukrainians, Zelensky asserted that Russia’s limited mobilization was a reflection of Kiev’s power.
According to him, this signifies that the battle will now transcend Russian television and become a reality.
Zelensky asserted with conviction that nothing would change for Ukrainians, who would continue to battle for the liberation of their nation.
Zelensky stated that an even larger group of States in the international community will now support Ukraine, referring to the UN General Assembly.
