Some celebrities have expressed their condolences following the death of popular gospel singer Sammie Okposo.
On Friday morning, the 51-year-old slumped and died.
In response to the death, prominent actor Richard Mofe Damijo, AKA RMD, posted on his Instagram page a video he filmed with the late singer approximately a month ago in the United States.
He wrote,“This was exactly a month ago in the US. We spent two weeks together and fellowshipped as men. We ate, drank and teased each other. We made plans for the new year, yet here I’m struggling and looking for words to capture our relationship.”
“Sam Okpooo as I used to call you, this was not the plan. This one pained me in my heart. My prayers are with your family as you rest in power, peace and praise.”
Also reacting, Comedian Bovi prayed that he rests in peace.
He wrote, ”Goodnight Uncle Sam. The most angelic voice I ever heard.”
Also, Ace presenter and filmmaker, Frank Edoho, wrote, ”My friend Sammy Okposo has left us with a painful hollow in our hearts. I am saddened because he literally praised and worshipped God all the time. God probably needed that sonorous voice in heaven. Da, Sammy! I will miss you, immensely! Rest in Peace. ”
