Seplat Energy Plc has officially changed its name to Seplat Energy Producing Nigeria Unlimited (SEPNU) following the recent completion of its acquisition of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited, PulseNets learned.
The Chairman of the company’s Board, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, on Tuesday. Senator Udoma, who led the Seplat delegation, told PulseNets that the newly rebranded entity retains all the assets and liabilities of its predecessor.
He emphasized SEPNU’s commitment to partnering with the Akwa Ibom State Government to promote sustainable development. Senator Udoma also outlined the company’s plans to play a pivotal role in achieving Nigeria’s strategic oil and gas objectives while fostering the socio-economic growth of Akwa Ibom State.
Reiterating SEPNU’s dedication to sustainability, Senator Udoma highlighted the company’s intent to collaborate closely with the state government and local communities to ensure long-lasting benefits.
“We are honoured to have the opportunity to engage with the Akwa Ibom State Government and present our vision for a collaborative future,” said Sen. Udoma. “Our commitment is not only to the growth of our operations but also to the well-being and prosperity of the communities where we operate.

PulseNets reported that Governor Umo Eno warmly welcomed the Seplat delegation, which included the Group Chief Executive Officer, Roger Brown, and the Managing Director of SEPNU, Mr. Oladotun Isiaka.
