SP Bako Angbashim: Police officially declare deadly cult leader wanted for killing DPO

The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has declared wanted Gift David Okpara (aka 2 Baba) for killing a DOP, SP Bako Angbashim.

NPF made the announcement on Wednesday, September 13, and disclosed that it came by the authority of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP).

The force noted that Okpara is wanted by the commissioner of police in Rivers state.

It said that Okpara who is the leader of a dangerous cult is guilty of conspiracy, cultism, and the murder of SP Angbashim.

The police said if the accused person is found, he should be arrested and taken to the nearest station or to the Rivers commissioner.

Also, the police said a handsome reward awaits anyone who furnishes officers with information that will lead to Okpara’s arrest.

Meanwhile, security operatives, on Monday, arrested the King of Akoh Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Eze Ikegbidi, following the murder of the Ahoada Divisional Police Officer, Bako Angbashim, by suspected cultists last Friday.

The slain DPO was ambushed and captured by gunmen while returning from an operation in Odiemere community, Ahoada East, and decapitated.

Ikegbidi’s arrest followed an indefinite suspension slammed on him by Governor Siminilayi Fubara.
