Sunday Igboho Revives Call for Nigeria's Disintegration, Advocates for Peaceful Separation

Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, widely known as Sunday Igboho, has reignited calls for Nigeria’s disintegration, asserting that the country’s persistent systemic issues make national pride and unity unattainable.

In a video that has surfaced on social media and posted by GISTSMATE, Igboho, who was seen at an airport in the United Kingdom, expressed his dismay at the state of Nigeria’s economy, pervasive corruption, and rampant insecurity.

Igboho spoke to PulseNets about the grim realities Nigerians face both domestically and internationally. “Even inside the airport, there is no security,” he lamented.

He added, “They can steal your belongings inside your bag at Nigerian airports. These are the things dissuading people from being proud of the country.”

The activist emphasised that Nigeria’s current trajectory is unsustainable, advocating for a peaceful division of its ethnic groups. “If Nigeria is not working as a country, it is better we go our separate ways,” he told PulseNets.

Igboho also highlighted the potential of Yoruba youths, whom he described as resourceful and well-travelled. “Our youths will transform Yoruba Nation. Most of them have travelled across the world, and they have learnt a lot. If they come back to Yoruba land, their knowledge will help build and transform the nation like those in Europe,” he said.
