Victor Osimhen’s current form, according to former Super Eagles head coach Sunday Oliseh, will reignite the team’s fire.
Odion Ighalo was replaced as the top shooter for the Super Eagles after the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt by Osimhen.
The former Lille striker has 22 appearances for the three-time African champions and 15 goals.
The 23-year-old furthered his status as one of the top strikers in the league right now by hitting an exquisite goal in Napoli’s 1-0 victory over AS Roma, managed by Jose Mourinho, at the weekend.
Oliseh has now joined the list of the striker’s admirers after the amazing match-winning goal made the entire globe talk about the striker’s talent.
“Osimhen makes me very optimistic concerning the Super Eagles’ resurgence!” Oliseh made the statement on Twitter in response to the striker’s winner against Roma.
“What a classy lethal finish, full of pace, power, precision and self-belief.”
In his last three games for the Partenopei, Osimhen has scored three goals.
