The official dates for the Yuletide holidays have not been confirmed by the Ministry of the Interior.
Afonja Fatai Ajibola, the director of press and public relations, refuted the trending news allegedly attributed to the ministry on the declaration of public holidays for the holiday season in a message to PulseNets on Saturday.
“The Ministry of Interior wishes to state categorically that the trending story is not true, as the Federal Government is yet to declare a public holiday formally”, he stated.
In the coming days, a formal public declaration on the matter would be made, he suggested, and the general public should reject the trending statement as fake news.
