Tinubu Congratulates Soludo on Anambra Victory, Praises INEC for Credible Election
President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Governor Chukwuma Soludo on securing victory in the November 8, 2025 Anambra governorship election.
In a personally signed message issued on Sunday, the President praised the re-elected governor for bringing discipline, innovation, and refined leadership to the governance structure of Anambra State. According to insights obtained by PulseNets, Tinubu also reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining strong federal–state collaboration throughout Soludo’s second term.
The President further commended the new leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), noting that election observers had reported the Anambra poll as one of the most credible exercises conducted in recent years.
In the 12-paragraph letter, Tinubu wrote, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Professor Chukwuma Soludo on his re-election as Governor of Anambra State.
The commanding victory he achieved on Saturday places him among a select group of leaders who have earned a second term in the state’s political history.”
He continued by acknowledging the conduct of the stakeholders who ensured a peaceful exercise, saying, “I must commend the people of Anambra State, the security agencies, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the orderly and successful governorship election.”

Tinubu described Soludo’s triumph as a validation of purposeful governance, noting, “Professor Soludo’s renewed mandate is proof of visionary leadership and the significant strides Anambra has recorded under his administration.”
The President, who recalled his official visit earlier in the year, said the state had witnessed transformational thinking under Soludo’s stewardship. He stated, “Governor Soludo, known widely as ‘the Solution,’ has shown that knowledge, when applied with sincerity, strengthens public service through accountability, transparency, and prudent management of people and resources.
During my visit in May, I inaugurated several projects executed by his administration. The quality of thought behind those initiatives remains memorable and impressive.”
Tinubu further praised Soludo’s administrative style, noting, “I commend Governor Soludo for bringing discipline, brilliance, and a refreshing approach to governance. Under his leadership, Anambra continues to embody its motto as the Light of the Nation.”
He urged the governor to extend a hand of fellowship to his opponents, saying, “I encourage Governor Soludo to be magnanimous in victory and to work towards uniting all stakeholders in the state.”
Reaffirming his support, the President added, “I assure Governor Soludo of my unwavering partnership, and I look forward to deeper collaboration between Anambra State and the Federal Government.”
Tinubu also highlighted the return of the All Grand Progressives Alliance (AGPA) as further proof of Nigeria’s maturing democracy. He wrote, “The victory of the opposition All Grand Progressives Alliance reflects the strength of our political process and reinforces the principle that committed and effective leadership will always resonate with the people.”
