Tinubu May Not Survive Until 2027 — SDP Chairman Shehu Gabam

The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Shehu Gabam, has suggested that President Bola Tinubu’s tenure may not last until 2027.

Gabam, speaking during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today program, pointed out that past presidents who faced significant challenges in the early years of their administrations did not survive to complete their second term.

He recounted that former President Goodluck Jonathan‘s downfall began when opposition forces grew in his second year of office. Gabam remarked: “No president that was elected to serve four years and has issues in two years can survive. Jonathan’s opposition started within two years – he lost election.”

Gabam further emphasized that the current crop of ministers in Tinubu’s administration lacks the requisite ability to advance the president’s agenda. He also highlighted that Nigeria is currently grappling with unprecedented economic hardship.
