A Nigerian economist, Tony Onyemaechi Elumelu has lamented the current economic crisis ravaging the entire nation.
In a tweet on his verified Twitter handle on Thursday, the popular banker said he took out time to listen to his colleagues who expressed their pains.
According to him, the country has not had electricity for about five days now while prices of diesel and food items continue to skyrocket.
“This morning, I am listening to my colleagues at the office bemoan the very pressing issues that they face every day in this country, and how things have been getting worse and worse.
“No electricity for 5 days, hikes in the price of diesel, frightening food inflation, etc”, he said in a tweet.

The scarcity of fuel and diesel have continued to cripple businesses and movements while transportation fare has doubled in many parts of the country.
