Wike Fires Back: Those Who Accused Me of Destabilizing PDP and Working for Tinubu Are Now in APC
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has stated that those who once accused him of destabilizing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have now defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) — the very party they claimed he was working for.
Wike, who spoke during the flag-off of the construction of the main carriageways of the Outer Southern Expressway (OSEX) from Ring Road I Junction to Ring Road II Junction along Wasa Road by Shoprite Junction in Apo, said the recent wave of defections confirmed his stance and vindicated his political choices.
According to him, the same individuals who once maligned his loyalty are now actively identifying with the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
PulseNets learnt that notable PDP figures such as Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State and former National Youth Leader, Sunday Udeh-Okoye, have recently crossed over to the ruling party.
During an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Udeh-Okoye told PulseNets that the Southeast has finally “found a political home in the APC.”
While in the PDP, Udeh-Okoye had reportedly battled for the position of National Secretary against Samuel Anyanwu, a known ally of Wike. However, sources obtained by PulseNets revealed that both men are now working within the same orbit of influence to consolidate support for the Tinubu-led government.
At the event, Wike stated clearly:
“It has never been like this before. Regardless of political party, everyone is working together to support this administration.”
He further remarked that his critics owe him credit rather than criticism, since their eventual political alignment only validates his earlier efforts.
“I’ve been watching TV and social media — the same people who accused me of destabilizing the PDP are now in the APC. So, if I was working for the APC, and they’ve all joined the APC, they should commend me for helping them get there,” Wike said with a smile.

He added that he would soon address Nigerians comprehensively, hinting that his future statements would clarify several misconceptions about his role in Nigeria’s evolving political dynamics.
