Young Duu calls out Carter Efe for taking credit for his song, performing without him

Former Zeh Nation signee Young Duu has taken to social media to call out comedian Cater Efe for taking credit for the recently released ‘Oyinmo’ track under the comedian’s name.

“Carter Efe has used all the industry brains to collect my song from me. He’s now going to shows to perform the song without me. And he’s not even an artiste; he’s a comedian,” Young Duu said in an Instagram live session with his fans.

Having left Hakeem ‘Portable’ Okikola-owned ‘Zeh Nation’ record label without officially releasing the ‘Oyinmo’, Cater Efe saw an opportunity and linked up with Young Duu to record and release the new track version.

Following the release, curious netizens were quick to ask why the track carries Cater Efe’s name as the lead singer on streaming platforms instead of his own, a conversation Young Duu dispelled, claiming he gave the comedian cum singer permission to do so.

Meanwhile, it seems the link-up between the duo is failing as Young Duu accused Cater Efe of utilising his music industry orientation to “collect” his song.

He also lamented that Cater Efe has started performing ‘Oyinmo’ in shows without him.

“Carter Efe doesn’t want anybody to help me. People will be helping me but he will be claiming he is my helper. I don’t want to cast everything. He’s now going to perform my song without me. My boss, Portable, treated me badly, and now Carter Efe wants to treat me badly, too. It’s not fair,” Young Duu said.
