Youths and Women Top ADC Agenda, Says Deputy National Chairman

The Deputy National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the North-West, Jafar Sani, has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to empowering youths and women as the cornerstone of its political strategy for a better Nigeria.

PulseNets learnt that Mr. Sani made this remark on Friday in Gusau, Zamfara State, while officially inaugurating the newly elected state executives of the ADC.

He explained that the party had deliberately created more spaces for youth and women leadership inclusion across different levels of its structure, stressing that this was not just tokenism but a deliberate investment in Nigeria’s future.

“We are calling on the youths and women of Zamfara to join the ADC coalition with sincerity and hope,” Mr. Sani told PulseNets.

He further noted that the party was encouraged by the impressive turnout of supporters in Zamfara, particularly the large mobilisation of youths and women who, according to him, have become the lifeline of ADC’s grassroots movement.

Mr. Sani disclosed that the ADC will soon begin a nationwide membership registration drive to expand its coalition and attract new Nigerians eager for change.

“Youths and women remain our strongest ambassadors. Continue to mobilise others to join the ADC. Stay united, law-abiding, and patient as we confront the challenges of being in opposition,” he said.
“As responsible Nigerians, we must collectively push for transformation and ensure a better tomorrow for our country,” he added.

Earlier, the Zamfara ADC Chairman, Kabiru Garba, commended the national leadership for visiting the state, describing it as a morale booster for party members.

Mr. Garba, who spoke to PulseNets during the inauguration, expressed confidence that the ADC coalition was firmly established in Zamfara despite attempts at political intimidation.

“The ADC has come to stay in Zamfara. We are witnessing steady growth with more Nigerians showing interest in joining our movement,” he stated.
“As party leaders, we will continue to receive new members and mobilise support to strengthen the ADC in Zamfara and beyond,” Mr. Garba reported.

With Zamfara emerging as one of ADC’s strongholds in the North-West, the party is banking on its youth-driven grassroots energy and women’s participation to shape its role in Nigeria’s 2027 political landscape.
