Why Temi Otedola Said “Yes” to Mr Eazi: Actress Opens Up on Marriage, Love, and New Name

Nigerian actress Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire entrepreneur Femi Otedola, has finally revealed the real reason she tied the knot with Afrobeats star Mr Eazi.

In an exclusive chat with BBC obtained by PulseNets, Temi explained that the foundation of her marriage lies in friendship. She described her husband not just as a partner but as her “person” and someone she could not imagine living without.

When asked what made her agree to marry Mr Eazi, Temi told PulseNets in her own words:

“There are too many reasons. How do I pick just one? First of all, he is my best friend, my person. And when you meet your person, you just know. I honestly can’t picture spending the rest of my life with anybody else.”

The Nollywood star further shared that her joy comes from building a shared future with the singer. She explained:

“He’s the one I’m always excited to spend every single day with. We get to build our lives together, go through challenges, celebrate wins, solve problems side by side. That’s why he is simply my person, and we’re both just thrilled about what the future holds.”

On her decision to embrace her husband’s surname after their wedding, Temi told PulseNets it was a deliberate choice:

“Now that I am a married woman, for me the natural step was to take his name. But this is a personal decision. I also respect other women who may choose differently.”

Temi also revealed that keeping her romance away from constant public scrutiny has been a conscious strategy. According to her, this privacy helps her “protect her narrative” and ensures that the couple’s story remains under their control.
