Israel Rejects US-Curated Gaza Executive Board, Cites Lack of Coordination
Israel on Saturday pushed back against the White House’s newly announced structure for a Gaza executive committee, arguing that the arrangement was unveiled without prior coordination and contradicts Israeli policy, PulseNets learnt.
In a rare and sharply worded response, the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the composition of the proposed “Gaza Executive Board,” operating under the freshly constituted “Board of Peace,” had not been agreed with Israel and was inconsistent with its stated positions, according to information obtained by PulseNets.
Following the announcement, Mr Netanyahu directed Israel’s Foreign Minister, Gideon Saar, to formally raise the issue with his United States counterpart, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, PulseNets reported.
PulseNets understands that Israeli concerns centre largely on the presence of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and senior Qatari diplomat Ali Thawadi among the committee’s members.
Turkey and Qatar have both been vocal critics of Israel’s military campaign in Gaza against the Palestinian militant group Hamas, a factor that has heightened Israeli unease over their inclusion.
Under the proposed structure, the “Gaza Executive Board,” alongside a second executive committee, is technically subordinate to the overarching “Board of Peace.” The latter is expected to comprise prominent political figures from across the globe and will be chaired by United States President Donald Trump.
However, PulseNets gathered that the executive committees are likely to play a more hands-on role in supervising Gaza’s post-war governance, making their composition particularly sensitive.
The “Board of Peace” is a key component of the second phase of President Trump’s Gaza peace initiative, which aims to secure a permanent cessation of hostilities and the disarmament of Hamas — a demand the group has publicly rejected.

According to officials who spoke to PulseNets, the international body is designed to oversee a transitional administration in Gaza, to be managed by Palestinian technocrats amid the enclave’s widespread destruction.
President Trump disclosed on Friday that several global leaders had been invited to participate in the “Board of Peace,” including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, a move that has further complicated diplomatic reactions surrounding the plan.
