Georgia Man Jailed for Threatening to Kill Donald Trump and Federal Agents
Jauan Rashun Porter, a Georgia resident, has been handed a prison sentence of more than three years by a United States federal court after being found guilty of issuing death threats against President Donald Trump and federal law enforcement agents, PulseNets learned.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia confirmed the conviction in a statement released on Monday, stressing that “we will continue to work closely with our federal partners to identify and prosecute criminals who make such threats.”
Prosecutors said the offence dates back to July 26, 2025, when the 30-year-old joined a TikTok livestream discussing Mr Trump under the caption “Alligator Alcatraz.” During the live broadcast, Mr Porter allegedly made repeated threats to assassinate the former president.
Court records obtained by PulseNets show that, during the livestream, the defendant wrote: “So there’s only one way to make America great and that is putting a bullet in between Trump’s eyes,” before further declaring, “I’m gonna kill Donald Trump. I’m gonna put a 7.62 bullet inside his forehead.”
As the session progressed, Mr Porter continued issuing violent threats, stating that he would “load up a rifle [and] sit inside . . . an abandoned building . . . and when he approaches the rally . . . I’m gonna put one . . . if not the face then . . . in his chest.”
He went on to add: “I’m gonna watch him bleed out and I’m gonna watch him die. It’ll be on the news . . . his rally is coming up pretty soon and I’m going there and I’m going to put a bullet in his head.”
Further details obtained by PulseNets indicate that Mr Porter was arrested in August 2025 and promptly arraigned in federal court. He was subsequently convicted in October, roughly two months after his arrest.
Investigators disclosed that a search of his apartment led to the discovery of two pipes, pistol ammunition, and Tannerite, an explosive substance. Authorities also described Mr Porter as a repeat offender who has been serving various prison sentences since 2018.
In delivering judgement, U.S. District Judge William Ray II sentenced the defendant to three years and five months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.

Reacting to the outcome, Robert Donovan, acting special agent in charge of the U.S. Secret Service Atlanta Field Office, told PulseNets: “When free speech devolves into threats against the President of the United States or any of our protectees, you can expect the United States Secret Service to bring those criminals to justice.”
He added: “We appreciate the work of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, as well as our partners at the local law enforcement partners for their assistance in this case.”
