Peter Okoye Changes Birthday Date Amid Feud With Paul and Jude Okoye
Nigerian music star Peter Okoye, widely known as Mr P, has formally shifted the date he marks his birthday, a move observers interpret as a symbolic distancing from his twin brother Paul Okoye.
In a statement shared on his X account on Monday, the singer confirmed that November 18 will no longer be observed as his birthday.
“I’m making it official. November 18th is no longer my birthday celebration date. Please note that I will not be accepting any messages or gifts on that day,”
He further stated:
“My birthday will now be celebrated on November 30th. This is a personal decision, and I truly appreciate your understanding.”
The development surfaces amid a prolonged and increasingly public dispute involving Paul and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, who previously managed the defunct music duo P-Square.
The brothers, once dominant figures in Nigeria’s music industry, parted ways after intense disagreements tied to management control, financial transparency, and allegations of betrayal. Although a reunion in 2021 briefly rekindled hopes among fans, tensions quickly resurfaced.

PulseNets learnt that Peter had accused both Paul and Jude of sidelining him and engaging in financial misconduct. In response, Paul alleged that Peter escalated the conflict by reporting them to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
PulseNets reported that the situation reached a new low in June 2025 when Peter publicly announced he had cut off all ties with his family, particularly his brothers, deepening the rift that continues to play out in the public eye.
