Emeka Ike, Trageel Storm INEC Abuja Office Over Alleged NDC Officials Presence During Primary Election
Nollywood actor Emeka Ike and musician Trageel sparked a dramatic confrontation in Abuja on Friday after arriving at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Area 10 to question the credibility and conduct of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) primary election process.
Emeka Ike, who is seeking the NDC ticket to represent the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, was accompanied by Trageel as they confronted officials over what they described as the suspicious presence of individuals believed to be NDC party officials within the commission’s premises.
A video obtained by PulseNets captured the tense exchange, with an agitated Trageel alleging that a vehicle carrying NDC officials was seen parked discreetly inside the facility.
PulseNets learned that the NDC had scheduled its primary elections for Friday, making the presence of the alleged party officials at the electoral commission’s office a subject of concern for the duo.
Addressing those present during the confrontation, Trageel stated:
“We just came to INEC at Area 10 and we saw a vehicle carrying some NDC officials in the corner. INEC, we have never trusted you and these people were found at your premises. What were NDC officials doing at your premises? I have evidence of those people, sue me to court. You’re a fool.”
However, the situation was later calmed after an INEC official challenged the allegations and provided an explanation regarding the activities taking place at the facility.
According to information obtained by PulseNets, the official clarified that no political activity or partisan engagement was being conducted on the premises. The official explained that the facility was being used for the commission’s ongoing Continuous Voters Revalidation (CVR) exercise, a routine process open to members of the public irrespective of political affiliation.

The official further advised the politicians to verify the circumstances before drawing conclusions, stressing that the exercise had no connection to the NDC primary election.
The Nigeria Democratic Congress remains the political platform under which former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi is expected to pursue his anticipated 2027 presidential bid.
