Burna Boy Responds to Critics Over N9 Billion Bugatti Chiron Purchase During Portugal Performance

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has reacted to the backlash surrounding his recent acquisition of a custom one of one Venuum Widebody Bugatti Chiron, reportedly valued at N9 billion.

The luxury car purchase has continued to generate widespread reactions, with many critics faulting the Afrobeats star for what they described as extravagant spending on material possessions instead of investing in businesses or supporting charitable causes, PulseNets learned.

Some commentators also questioned his decision to import the exotic vehicle into Nigeria, arguing that the country’s road infrastructure is unsuitable for such high performance automobiles.

While performing at the Afronation concert in Portugal on Friday night, Burna Boy responded to the criticism with a freestyle performance.

“I buy Bugatti, dem ask which road I go drive am? No be today we dey do road like Julius Berger,” he rapped.

PulseNets reports that Burna Boy also dominated headlines last year after socialite Sophia Egbueje alleged that the singer failed to fulfil a promise to buy her a Lamborghini in exchange for intimacy.

Although Burna Boy neither confirmed nor denied the allegation, he appeared to mock the controversy in his song No Do, where he referenced the public attention surrounding the Lamborghini claims.

Sophia Egbueje later disclosed that she had purchased the Lamborghini herself.

The controversy, which strained the relationship between Burna Boy and Sophia Egbueje, attracted widespread attention across social media and entertainment circles.
