Nobody is Too Big to be Voted Out” — El-Rufai’s Son Sends Cryptic Message to Tinubu

Bashir El-Rufai, son of former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, has issued a warning to President Bola Tinubu regarding his reelection bid in 2027.

In a cryptic message posted on social media on Wednesday, Bashir stated that no one is too powerful to be voted out of office by the people and that it will happen without consequences.

He urged people to ignore intimidation and be patient, adding that even international organizations like the IMF and World Bank won’t be able to save those in power when the time comes.

Bashir’s message seemed to reference Tinubu’s reputation as a master strategist. However, he said that influence ends in Lagos State.

He said, “Nobody is too big to be elected out of office by the people. It will happen & wallahi nothing will happen. So forget all these intimidations flying up and down. Let us be patient.

“Even IMF & World Bank no go save una that time. Political strategist una. That one na for Lagos.”

In a follow-up message, Bashir El-Rufai clarified that he did not mention any names in his previous post, but reaffirmed his position that he will not be forced to support a failed governance system masked as a harmful and divisive political strategy.

He said, “I didn’t mention any names, but those who are guilty know who I’m referring to. I swear, no one will be forced to support this failed and dangerous political strategy.”
