Tinubu’s spokesman Ngelale steps down

Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, has opted to take an indefinite leave of absence from his duties.

This decision was revealed in a memo submitted to the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Friday. Ngelale, speaking to PulseNets, highlighted serious medical concerns involving his immediate family as the driving factor behind his choice.

“This agonising decision was taken after significant consultations with my family over the past several days, as a vexatious medical situation has worsened at home,” Ngelale explained.

His leave will temporarily affect his various roles within the administration. Aside from his responsibilities as Presidential Spokesperson, Ajuri will also step down from his roles as Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen.
