Breaking: Tinubu Minister, Uche Nnaji, Resigns Amid Certificate Forgery Allegations

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially accepted the resignation of Geoffrey Uche Nnaji, the Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, following growing allegations of certificate forgery and political blackmail.

In a resignation letter obtained by PulseNets, Nnaji thanked President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve in his administration, describing his time in office as “an honour and privilege to contribute to Nigeria’s innovation and scientific growth.” The former minister also claimed he had been “a victim of orchestrated blackmail by political opponents desperate to discredit my integrity and derail my public service record.”

A senior source in the Presidency told PulseNets that the President received the resignation earlier today and promptly accepted it. President Tinubu was said to have commended Nnaji’s efforts while serving as minister and extended his best wishes for future endeavours.

PulseNets learnt that Nnaji’s exit came after days of mounting public scrutiny following reports questioning the authenticity of his academic credentials. Though no official probe result has been released, insiders within the ruling party told PulseNets that his resignation became inevitable after high-level consultations within the Presidency.

In an official statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the Presidency confirmed the resignation and reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership in governance.

“President Tinubu thanks Geoffrey Uche Nnaji for his service to the nation and wishes him success in his future pursuits,” the statement read.
